Hi there
I have a ASUS A7V600-X motherboard and I am trying to use a external hard drive but I always get the message "This device can run faster" etc.
I have tried all the USB inputs and I get the same message.
The external hard drive works fine with my other computers but is really slow with this motherboard. I guess it sees it as a USB 1.0 drive.
I'm sure I'm doing something dumb!!
Please help.

Did you install the VIA USB 2.0 Host Controller Drivers for Windows?

Ghislaing thanks for your help but I managed to fix it, yes you were right I installed the Host Controller Driver and hey presto.
