Hey All

which video Card is better the 8800gt or the 9600gt for FSx???????????

Please help

My Specs

Amd 64x2 6400 3.2ghz
4Gb Ram
500w PSU

Both will work fine for FSX. FSX at least is more CPU bound than GPU bound. A Quad core would help here. Also make sure you have a quality PSU (ie. Corsair, Antec, PC Power & Cooling)

The 8800 GT is a better card... all round

8800gt should perform better due to the increase in sps (112 vs 64)
FSX is a cpu bound game.

Trust me, with a measly 9600gt, FSX will be gpu bound at any half decent resolution and settings.

well the difference would be minimal but ocing decently will give you slightly more fps and other games will run better. i would recommend the 8800gt still unless the 9600gt is 35$ cheaper.

8800GT/9800GT are overall better cards than 9600GT
