Quiet, cool 4870?

Hi guys,
In the process of building my first pc, I've hit a bit of a wall regarding graphics cards. I've read lots of review but would like user experiences as well. I have a GPU budget of around £220 as I''ve heard it's best to spend the cash on GPU in a gaming machine. The 4870 card looks good as far as performance is concerned, but I'm a little overwhelmed by all the different models of the 4870 there are! I'm looking to game on a 19in. 1440x900 screen and my main concerns are noise and cooling. I was just wondering whether it was best to buy a brand card with a good cooler, or should I just buy a cheap card and put an AC twin turbo on it anyway? I'm going for as quiet as possible with acceptable temps too. Also if one particular model has a lower power consumption with the above traits that would be great, but not completely necessary. Well, I'm aware this GPU runs particularly hot, and therefore I'm after the coolest solution possible. I would like to know which is quietest/coolest; a non-reference card with cooler, or a cheap 4870 with an AC TT.
