When i built my new computer i recycled my old hard drive. However this was 32 bit and in order to use my 4gb of ram i needed a 64 bit. My new hard drive came today and i installed windows 7 but when i connect my older hard drive it reverts to windows 7 32bit with all my settings on.

Is it possible or how do i change my new harddrive to primary?

I would check the boot order in the BIOS, it appears when you have your old hard drive installed you are booting from it and not your new hard drive.

Yeah, boot order. You have to designate, within the BIOS which drive to try first when booting up.
