First time building a computer. I've done a lot of research through various sites and had someone with experience building computers helping me pick parts. I was on a budget of about 1000$ and my final total came out to 980$ which will give me a little bit extra to spend on a monitor. I was able to buy some tax free / free shipping parts from Amazon which really helped me squeeze into my budget. Here's what I came out, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The one thing I would of liked to do was possibly get a better mobo but the newegg combo was to good to pass up. I decided to go ATI route as I was getting a crossfire mobo in the combo and I was able to get tax free 4850's for 150$ a piece. I've heard mixed reviews on ATI vs Nvidia and crossfiring/sli vs not doing it, so I'm hoping I made a good choice here.

From what I've heard the 4850's run very hot which is a huge concern to me as my computer right now has overheating problems, so I'm very aware. Any suggestions for this, will I need to buy some more fans, etc? Or any other problems you might forsee for this setup?

Thanks very much.

You did a good job, one of the best I've seen posted in a while. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Missing is CD/DVD media player/recorder and OS. I suppose you have them already?
There are some good GPU cooling devices out there. Also a fan in the front of the case directly in front of the GPU cards helps cool them down or get air to them.
You are going to be very happy with your system.

Edit:
I just looked at that case. If you don't need all those drive bays I would, or you might even have to, remove the bottom 5-bay cage. You will get more air to the cards. The 120 right there is a nice feature. A Xiggy or similar on the CPU would be almost required esp if overclocking.

That looks like a great build imo. If the cards do start getting to hot you can change the fan settings on them, and as long as you have a couple case fans it should be good.

Cheers :)

the psu is way over kill you need like 500w but more won't kill you

i would have goon with a single 4870 vs a 2 4850 because of games properly scaling but thats a opinion

overall that is a good build
