My system and gtx 260?

Hello, first time poster.

Im thinking of getting a gtx 260, does my system look okay for it?

AMD Phenom Quad Core 9550 AM2+
Gigabyte MA770-Ds3 ATX AM2+
4gig ram
High-power 500watt Dual Fan P/S
Windows Vista Home premimum 64-Bit


Not sure about the mother board and ps inparticular.

just 5 minutes ago i installed a gtx 260-216 into my rig with 500watt rosewill psu so you should be ok

not all 500watt psus are the same. It all depends on the amps on the rails. I don't know what the requirements are for the gtx260, but it should be on the nvidia web site.

the gtx 260 requires 36A on the rails but my psu is rated at 18A and 16A and thats with one of the power connectors using the molex adapter and its running my Core 216 just fine. nothing is running hot or freezing up. i dont smell anything but get a good brand like rosewill or corsair ect.
