after uninstalling nortons internet security i can not get on the internet. i ran a diagnostic and it says that i need to change the firewall settings for my ports 80,443,21 but i cant seem to figure out why i dont have a firewall now

Well, Norton Internet Security's firewall is uninstalled, but you have to check if it is Windows Firewall that is blocking those ports, 80, 443, and 21. By the way, for an all-in-one antivirus program, I recommend Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 (the most current version) because it is an excellent all-in-one program, it scans very very fast, on my 80 GB hard drive, after a couple of scans, it toke 12 seconds to scan, but be patient, the first couple scans will take like forever, but in the long run the scans will be like seconds to finish.
