I really like the Core Temp program and I usually start it minimized in the tray. I was playing around with the overheat protection and I was wondering what people think I should set the shut down protection temp at? I currently have it at 72c. I am running a i7 920 @ 3.6 Ghz on on EVGA X58 LE Board with a Corsair H50 water cooling (Dual Fans). I have turboboost shut off and all the voltages on auto except the memory (1.65) My temps are 38-42c Idle and 54-58c at 65% sustained load. Any thoughts?

I bumped my CPU up to 4.0 Ghz and saw temps at 70% load go to low 70's. From what I was reading, the max temp for the i7 920 is 100c. I was pretty amazed at this and I guess setting the shutdown temp to 90c or even higher is ok.. I may leave it here. My idle temps are 44 - 48c. Not bad for a little H50!
