Personally i would recommend the gigabyte UD3P, but if you aren't planning on overclocking or using ATI crossfire then im sure you could find another good board for cheaper

I'd suggest a P45 motherboard as well.   I use an nVidia based 680i, and frankly from my experience and the experience I've learned from others, it's not a good choice for the Q6600 as far as OC ability goes.

The Intel P45 is going to be your best bet whether you OC or not.   Can't SLI that way, but you can potentially Crossfire (ATI) if you choose the right board.

Is the UD3P or the PQ5-E a better choice? I will be doing general office PC stuff plus video editing, photo editing and DVD/CD burning. Also will be doing a little gaming.
