What is the best mobo for the q6600? I am building a desktop workstation for home office. I will also do a little gaming.
Thanks in advance.

a p45 chipset mobo.

Personally i would recommend the gigabyte UD3P, but if you aren't planning on overclocking or using ATI crossfire then im sure you could find another good board for cheaper

I'd suggest a P45 motherboard as well. :)  I use an nVidia based 680i, and frankly from my experience and the experience I've learned from others, it's not a good choice for the Q6600 as far as OC ability goes.

The Intel P45 is going to be your best bet whether you OC or not. :)  Can't SLI that way, but you can potentially Crossfire (ATI) if you choose the right board.

Is the UD3P or the PQ5-E a better choice? I will be doing general office PC stuff plus video editing, photo editing and DVD/CD burning. Also will be doing a little gaming.
