mobo: ga-ep45-ud3r
drivers: realtek (came with the mobo installation disk)

i open the "sound manager" and look at the microphone's scale bar how ever the bar lacks the handle that allows to scale the volume so i can't pick it up and turn the volume up.

I've tryed to do some reading and googled the subject but got too meny answers so i came to the only place i trust...

i've installed the drivers that came with the disk and i don't get the scale handle on any of the devices in the input section nor do i get the ".." button that allowes to boost the mic.

[SOLVED]

The proper controls were in the upper menu(output) rather then in the lower (input) menu.
sorry for your trouble.

[edit: it appear that under certain configurations with Realtek's drivers the microphone is auto adjusting to the noise \ user voice.]
