Personally I would either go for an E8500 and save £50 or go quad with the Q9550 for £50 more.
To answer you question, since you didn't mention video card/SLI/Crossfire or what you want as feature, I would suggest the Asus P5Q Pro. As for RAM, since Dabs is much more limited than NewEgg, I will suggest the only CAS4 DDR2-800 2x2GB kit they have, the OCZ Reaper (a good choice non the less).

if your just using 1 gfx card then why an sli board also nvidia chipsets have some bugs.
If your only going to use 1 gfx card i suggest a p45 chipset board. and is you havent bought the gfx card yet i suggest getting an ATI card.
