I am thinking of upgrading my gfx card. I have a 4870 512 and I am interested in the 4870x2 from Sapphire. Their website says the 4870x2 needs at least a 650w psu. This is the psu I have in my rig http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/Product.aspx?C=1264&ID=1506 . The psu has 1x8 pin connector and 2x6 pin connector. Will it be enough to run a 4870x2 in my rig or do you guys think I would need a stronger psu ? I have a e8400 oc'ed to 3.8ghz, 4x1gb sticks, 4 hdd's, 1 bluray drive and 1 pci X-fi sound card.

It should be fine. 52A combined on the 12V rails, just like the Corsair 650TX for example. Go for it. Of course, I'm assuming you will take out the HD 4870 first. The PSU is not powerful enough for both cards, and it would dumb down the HD 4870 X2 anyway.
