Change name of Dlink Wifi Adapter from registry to show up in "safely removable

Hey,

I am using DLINK USB wifi adapter, I want to change the name of this device from registry so that it doesnt shows me DLINK WIFI adapter name in "SAFELY REMOVAL DEVICE"

I just searched the Registry for the string "the 'USB mass storage device' and drew a blank meaning that message which shows when it's declared safe to remove is run by a .dll and not a Registry entry. I think you have to put up with this - it looks like a usb mass storage device and gets treated as such.

I'll be very interested to see what other posters come up with though.

It makes sense. You might have files open on a network drive via your network connector; you don't want to just pull the plug without closing those files.
