hello ,
i have 2 Intel possessors the 1st one cost $294 and the 2nd one cost $314 , so it kind of close in the price .

1- Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor - Retail

2 - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz 12MB L2 Cache LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor - Retail

so please i wanna know which one is better and what is the deference between them , thanks

The biggest difference is that you will pay more for a motherboard for the i7, but it will perform better and is better prepared for the future.

The i7 920 is a little better. However, I would only recommend it if you play games and intend to buy 2 or 3 video cards. In that case, the expensive X58 motherboard required by the i7 920 is at least used for a good purpose.

If you are not a gamer, or can get by with a single video card, you should get the Q9550 with a GA-EP45-UD3R (or similar) and 2x2GB DDR2-800.

I believe the 920 would be a faster processor and it is also hyperthreaded...Like they said you're going to have to pay more for the MOBO and RAM, quite a bit more
