hey, okay i just built my system, updated BIOS, CPU, GRAPHICS CARD, drivers. However, when i run counter strike: source i get high fps for like 5 secs and then drop to 4 fps or less! =/

i've done the 3dmark05 test and i get a score of 2800's! :'( very very BAD.

i basically get 0 fps when running cpu test

something is holding back my system,

here are my system specs:
CPU: amd 3.0ghz athlon 64x2 6000+ temp is @ 40-50 with zalman cooling 92mm and some other 5 fans in the case.

GPU: gtx 260, my card's bus interface is at pci-e x16 @ x16, and the bandwidth is 114.9 gb/s

PSU: 650TX CORSAIR

HDD: 250gb sata/7200 rpm barracuda

MB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813131281

RAM: ddr2 1066 4ghz G.skillz, dram frequency at 375MHz/ 5.5.5.15 timings

MONITOR: 22" HDMI ASUS/1680x1050pixels/59hz

alrite i was wondering if the mobo has something to do with making the system not run like it suppose to, and not get the score im wishing to get, maybe because is a cheap motherboard?? or the ram is affecting the system?? or i should just take it to a shop to take a look around??

any1 could HELP??!!! THX A LOT!! is really frustruating.

Ram issue. It shouldnt be running 375.

Check the ram manufactures website and check for the voltage and timing settings recommended and then set it in your BIOS.
