I'de like to know if this memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231190
Is a good match with this motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128375

I know the MB supports triple channel and the memory is only dual channel. Any other discrepancies between the two? I'de like the setup to be optimal so the motherboard and memory both are used to their max levels. I'm told that the bus speeds are supposed to match and other things like that but am not sure how to check/verify those things.

Just go to gigabyte's website and download the manual for the board. It will tell you if the board will work with just 2 memory slots filled. Some boards do; some don't. I recommend you spend the extra money and get 3 sticks. ewiz has 3x2 gb of supertalent for $94.13. Haven't checked the egg for their best deal.

Thank you for the response. The manual says that dual channel will work. My question is more whether the there is a noticable difference in performance between the dual and triple channel.
