Is this fine to do? OCing 2nd time

Hi, i've been overclocking my Q9550 E0, and i tried 400x8.5 with everything on auto and it was stable for 12+hours prime and 15 intel burnins. But i now want to try to overclock further by increasing the vcore, but whenever i overclock i only play with the vcore and i leave the NB/SB alone along with everything else, is this fine to do? Or should I take those off of auto when ocing for a better overclock? I'm wanting to hit somewhere around 3.8 ghz with this chip. Would this be doable by only increasing vcore?

A lot of that will depend on motherboard.

watch ur temperatures young skywalker for important to stability they are. als know you should that increasing ur vcore makes temps rise it does
