I have 4 year old desktop,psp800 asus motherboard and it has nvidia5600 is there a higher card that i can install, or do I need another Motherboard, I Have 1 gig 2.8 xp windows any help will great thank you Manuel Nashville tn

I think you meant P5P800. That is an AGP board. Check out the latest video card buying guide on this site (main page).

I would not spend very much money on an AGP card, it will have minimal return on investment. Others will say the same thing: your money is better spent on a new rig. It's more cost effective to get a new board (you could still keep the CPU you have if you stay on socket 775) and new RAM (4gb for $30)

I am the Other and I vote save your money to build a new system. AGP is dead but they still seem to keep it alive a little.

I think a good question is, what do you use your system for? Depending on this a new card might not even benefit you much.

Thanks i do e-mail lite stuff nothing heavy and would like to keep up with some modern games and the 5600 hundred barley runs anything out there, do i need to do the mother board and all new memory and new graphic card,

modern games as in crysis or modern games as in HL2? the former = new system, the latter... well i would want a new system anyway but it should run source decentlyish

LOLz HL2 = Half life 2. Its alot less demanding than most other modern games, is what he meant.
