More about which better 256mb 512mb pcie
  1. Um, the memory amount is determined by the card.
And AGP is a ton faster than PCI.
  2. Ask yourself which slot is newer, then you'll get the answer. dohh..AGP of course.. There's not enough bandwidth on the pci and the speed is 10x slower.
  3. The 256mb AGP would be faster. Its the bus speed of the interface that will be the biggest help. Unless you have a large monitor, the extra mb in the PCI card won't do a lot of good, if any. The only reason to get a PCI video card is if there is no AGP or PCI-e slot.
  4. AGP stands for accelerated graphics port.
  5. What graphic cards are we talking about ? If it was a 8500 gt pci 512 and 6200 agp 256. Pci gets my vote

  7. Remind me, what year is this again?
  8. I thought PCI cards went out in 2001?
  9. We're in 2008 where theres a dx10.1 solution for AGP (HD3850)and a dx10 solution for PCI (gf8500).
