Which is better? 256mb AGP or a 512mb PCI? (NOT PCIE)

That's it the question is that simple. With no other outside interference, Mano e Mano, which one is better? a 256mb AGP or a 512mb PCI?

Um, the memory amount is determined by the card.
And AGP is a ton faster than PCI.

Ask yourself which slot is newer, then you'll get the answer. dohh..AGP of course.. There's not enough bandwidth on the pci and the speed is 10x slower.

The 256mb AGP would be faster. Its the bus speed of the interface that will be the biggest help. Unless you have a large monitor, the extra mb in the PCI card won't do a lot of good, if any. The only reason to get a PCI video card is if there is no AGP or PCI-e slot.

We're in 2008 where theres a dx10.1 solution for AGP (HD3850)and a dx10 solution for PCI (gf8500).
