I have an HP NC6000 laptop. The service manual shows it has a replacable CPU. Can I replace the current 1.7Ghz P4-M 735 (SL7EP) package type Micro-FCPGA with a 2.4Ghz P4-M (SL6K5) Package type 478?

the 735 is a pentium M centrino processor which is different from the pentium 4-m. the centrino is newer and reportedly much faster than its p4m predecessor.
