I have an HP NC6000 laptop. The service manual shows it has a replacable CPU. Can I replace the current 1.7Ghz P4-M 735 (SL7EP) package type Micro-FCPGA with a 2.4Ghz P4-M (SL6K5) Package type 478?

OK, No one answered the question, so I decided to try it. To answer my own question incase someone else has the same. The answer is NO. The Pins are different.
The SL6K4 type 478 looks like this:
0011
1111
1111
Where as the SL7EP Type Micro-FCPGA looks like this
0111
1011
1111

the 735 is a pentium M centrino processor which is different from the pentium 4-m. the centrino is newer and reportedly much faster than its p4m predecessor.
