Does anyone have the BIOS file for this card? I'm sick of my 2600's crappy performance and I want the x1650xt back in working order. Flashing the BIOS is the only thing I can think of. So, does anyone know where I can get one/ have one?

I've searched techpowerup, but they didn't have it..

Im sorry that dosent make sence to me, You have a 1650XT running a 2600 Bios ? or you have a 2600 and want to run a 1650XT bios on it ?
Either way its totally differant archetecture and i cant see any way it could possably work.

My x1650xt died a while ago, and I think that by replacing the BIOS, I might be able to save it. I hate the card I replaced it with, a 2600XT.

You need a working card to flash the bios.

The card works, per say, as I can see things on screen, they're just funky colors and symbols on occasion.

How about overclocking the 2600?

Ok so there are 2 possabilities here
1. Have you tried looking on a Bit Torrant site ? Before anyone starts this is what they are meant for its freeware so its perfectly legal.
2. I have a His X1650XT ICE Q Turbo AGP in a second rig upstairs, tell me how to copy the bios and how to send it and i will do :)

OC'ing the 2600 is not something I've tried - but I don't think it'll give me much more. The thing performs worse than my x1650xt does in almost every game. I've tried driver after driver, but I'm just sick of the slow. It doesn't even play Need for Speed MW without lag on high settings, which my x1650xt could do flawlessly. I'll try OCing it, though.

mactronix, you'd be my saviour if you could -
Randomizer wrote a great sticky on ATI OCing, and in there it describes how to save the BIOS with ATI tool - http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/246888-29-guide-bios-...

I'll PM you an email address you can send it to me to

Thanks so much!

Use GPU-Z to save the bios to a file.
