Hi all,

In the next few days I have to buy 4GB of RAM for a computer. And I'm not really sure which brand to choose. I stoped at these 2 and I'm asking your opinion:

1. Kingston HyperX 4GB - 1066Mhz DC (KHX8500D2K2/4G)
2. GeIL Evo ONE 4GB - 1066MHz DC

The specs look similar for both models. The price difference is small (Kingstone is with ~20$ cheaper than Geil).

Which one should I choose (for a gaming environment mostlly)? Any tips?

They will work with an intel E8400 and a gigabyte MB (GA-EP43-S3L).

Check their websites for rma support, in case one stick goes bad. I'd go for the cheaper kingston ram. You might also look at some pc6400 corsair at fry's.com. It's only $35.99 for 2x2gb sticks before a $14 rebate. And finally, be sure your gigabyte board has voltage adjustments for the ram.
