Hey, I am new to computers and to be honest I dont understand a thing about how they work. I have tried starting with the brain of the computer (the motherboard if I understood that correctly) and building my way up trying to learn, but one thing that stops me is I don't know what is compatible with what. So i was wondering if anyone could help me.

First I have a budget of 1300$ not including mouse speakers and keyboard. I am using this computer for gaming like Lineage 2, World of Warcraft, and especially Diablo 3.

I like the MSI P45 Platinum Motherboard and I thought I would start from there. I don't want you guys to do all the work that wouldnt be fair so I will do the research I just need help with what is compatible with the P45 Plat Motherboard. I guess the processor is where I go next and from what i understand i need something that goes into a 775 socket connector. If anyone has any suggestions lay them on me I am going to do some research to see if I can find something

Q?: When I am looking at processors should i look for something that has 775 socket or something 775 or under. I could be way off still trying to figure that one out. Thanks for any help.

Total price before mail-in-rebates and shipping = $1,323. Because I am not the sharpest tool in the shed I used newegg.com/us and not the canadian version so keep that in mind. I believe with the current value of the U.S. dollar the total price would be about $4.35 canadian. ;) You can save some money by looking for "combo deals" and like I said above, if you have not already purchased the MOBO then you can get one as good or better for $40-$50 less.
