The best way to over clock the CPU, is to bump the FSB to 375 and the multiplier down to 8, this will give u the 3.0ghz speed but on a 1500fsb rating.

if u have the newer Go edition of the Q6600, then u may not have to apply any more Voltage to the CPU.
to keep the temps down on the CPU, i suggest changing the Vcore settings from Auto to roughly 1.2-1.25v.

Prime 95 test the system

aslong as the Prime95 test passes the 8 hour mark, then it should be able to be run 24\7 at the speed set.

if it fails the test, then up the Vcore in the Bios 1 notch at a time, and test again.

good luck
