This is my first post and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas to help with my new computer...

System so far, Q6600 , Asus P5N-T, Cosair Dominator 2gbx1,WD 1tb...

I picked the items after reading numerous articles on this site...

I still need a case and power supply along with video card and cooler...I was hoping to speed $350 for these last items,,,,,More Memory?

Also after reading more it sounds like my Mother Board is junk... I purchased after reading an article on this site...Why don't they update articles when they find out a part isn't reliable....It seems like a lot of other people made the same mistake...

Thanks for any thoughts on the best direction ....Oh which OS is best for gaming...

The more reading you do before buying, the less likely you are to be unhappy with your purchase. I'd try to stick with Intel chipsets and faster-clocked dual-core CPUs, unless you're running programs that really make use of quad cores (e.g. Photoshop). What sort of programs do you want to run on your new build?
