Intel SSD Firmware

I recently put my OS on my SSD and did a WEI as I was curious to find out my Primary 'Hard' Disk score, I found it was lower then others who had posted their score with the same SSD, by about .5

So I'm wondering why it's a worse score, and I think about the firmware I've heard for it, my few questions are, what will this firmware do for me? will I need to reinstall everything? will it increase my WEI score?

and most importantly, if this wont increase my score, why is my SSD getting a worse score then others SSDs with the same model?

Are you using the same OS as everyone else? The scoring algorithm changed between Vista and Windows 7.

I think so, I'm using W7, and afaik the scores are generally higher in W7.
