Should I upgrade from
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor P7350 (2.0GHz) 2m cache to Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor P8400 (2.26 GHz) 3m cache for $75 or from 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GS to 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT for $100? I can only afford one or the other which one is better for gaming?

Thanks a lot guys!

I dont see why you would upgrade a 2 to a 2.2 or a geforce 9200 to a 9600. you're gaining something like... 10% increase in speed for the cpu and something like 15% in gpu.

I'd buy a good heatsink and OC your cpu to 2.8.... then see if anything changes....

The gpu upgrade will give you much higher gaming performance gain compared to cpu. And unlike the previous poster stated, the difference from 9200 to 9600 is far larger than just 15%.

Don't upgrade display. Your POS hardware can't handle higher resolution anyway.

Sounds like someone is configuring a notebook...

I'd go for the GPU upgrade.

you're overlooking one issue here. At the res. he is playing.. Its a cpu bottleneck. going for a gpu doesnt help much with that res.

some of you are overlooking that this is a laptop not a desktop you can't just upgrade your heatsink. GPU vote here

I vote graphics but please remember that upping any specs with a laptop will use the battery faster.
