MSI X58 Pro-E overclocking ram

So I read the how to forum on overclocking ram and it was helpful. I however was curious if there was anyone here who had personal experience with this motherboard.

I would like to run this at the 1600 however the board supports up to 1333.
and I am not looking to overclock my cpu what is the best way to handle this on this motherboard

also if you Have time I have read this motherboard tends to run hot any quick fixes?
