Were to plug sata cable of harddisk on motherboard in esata or sata port

Hello,i have intel DH55TC board which have 4 sata(black) and 2 esata(red)ports were i have to plug my sata cable from internal HDD or dvddrive.In esata or sata.i know both works but which give best results.PLS help me any help is appreciated.THANKS in advance!!!!!!!!!!!

As a rule you should connect it to the SATA port - which means use the black ports.

Neither will give "better" results with an internal drive. The ones' designated eSATA will work better for external drives (made to deal with an extra connector in path, longer cable chain, etc...)

The "e" stands for External.

Your gonna want to plug SATA before ESATA whenever possible. And you should look at your mobo and see what the SATA ports are numbered. My board starts at 0,1,2, etc... Start from 0 as your main drive and continue and that manor.
