could you please help,i have tried to run REGEDIT but get the message saying registry editing has been disabled by your administrator, can any one help thanks

You must be logged on as an administrator to do the following:

If you have XP Pro, click: Start>Run>gpedit.msc>ok

Expand "User Configuration" then "Administrative Templates" and click on "System"

Find "Prevent access to registry editing tools" and double-click it.

Select either "Not configured" or "Disabled"

Click OK.
