Hi there, yet another possible Catalyst driver problem.
- Gecube Radeon HD4870x2
- Catalyst 8.11 drivers
- Windows XP SP3
- Call of Duty: World at War with patch 1.1
- 1920x1200
- all catalyst options at defaults with vsync forced on
I get white lines around pools of water that only show at certain angles, screenshot here: http://ninjamonkeys.co.za/wp-conte [...] ot0000.jpg Everything else looks great and the game runs smoothly. Setting the dual video card option on screwed up the water with water passing through the boat I was in, so I switched that off, now it's just the white line at water edges.
And in Fallout 3 I get white lines at geometry joins from some angles when in dark areas, which made me suspect a driver issue.
Tried disabling AA, overriding AA, different types of AA, reducing dvi frequency, alternate dvi operational mode, disabling catalyst AI, setting catalyst AI to advanced, lower resolution, ati uninstall and reinstall 8.11 catalyst, driver sweeper and reinstall drivers, etc. with no luck.
Is this just a game bug or should I try older Catalyst drivers?
This is on a first load and the temperature doesn't go above 85 degrees. I've just tried it again with 70% fan and it ran at 60 degrees and did the same thing.
Ok, I've tried catalyst 8.10, FC2 hotfix 2, and 8.11 with no luck. Hopefully just a game bug that'll get fixed or the next drivers will sort it out. Really tired of not being able to play PC games properly when they're released and having to wait months for the proper experience when I've spent a huge amount on hardware
