HELP 2 PROBLEMS

I am currently building a pc right and its going pretty well except i only have 2 problems

1. I want to use my old Hdd from my older pc but should I reformatt ot or does it matter

2. For some super gay reason the atx pin connector will not go in the atx 1 pin slot it only goes in about half way and thats the only way it seems to want to go in any other way at ALL

You should definitely format it. Problems could occur if not.

Make sure nothing is blocking it from going in. Look at both the connector and the slot and check for anything out of the ordinary.
