I currently have a netgear MR814v2 wireless router (802.11b) going into a dlink four port switch, to these 2 pieces of equipment i have 3 pc's wired, a laserjet 4000, and an xbox 360. (also using the netgear wirelessly to send signal to my wife's tivo for daily updates).I would like to be able to expand my network by adding a bluray player with netflix (i know i can use the 360 for this but choose not to) and an ethernet inkjet printer. should i simply buy another switch (4 or 8 ports) or reduce the clutter and buy an 8 port wireless router. would i see a speed increase going with a new 802.11g router over the old netgear. there are usually 3 things consuming bandwidth at the same time in my house (2 pc's & 360, or 3 pc's), the difference in price doesn't really matter i want something reliable and i won't outgrow in a year. also we occasionally use the wireless function for a dell laptop if we are sitting on the deck surfing the web and a Wii, ANY help is much appreciated.
