I7-920 overclocking help

I've been trying to overclock my i7-920, and I've run into a blockade. I simply can not figure out a way to get it to run at over 3.2 Ghz. I've tried jumping the voltage up to 1.35 and I've tried dropping my memory frequency down to make sure that it isn't the problem, but it still always bluescreens as I'm trying to boot windows. Do you think that I just got a CPU that's really bad at overclocking, or is there something that I'm forgetting to do? Thanks in advance

No you are just missing a step somewere. Have you read the i7 overclocking guides??? To be honest you can get away with setting everything on auto taking your base clock to 175 restarting and it should be fine. What mobo do you have???

I've got the EVGA SLI LE motherboard with the phoenix award BIOS. I've read several guides, and followed them as best as I could (sometimes they talked about changing settings that I couldn't find) but nothing has worked.
