Hello all,

I know I already have two threads going: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/249435-29-gigabyte-ep45-ud3r-e7200 and http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/256960-31-would-advice but this time I am serious about building this. I plan on ordering this rig within the week so that I can get all the rebates.

Here are the current updated specs:

CPU-Core 2 E7200- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115052 This combos with the Motherboard

Motherboard- Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R-[/b] http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128359 Combo

Graphics card- Radeon HD 4850- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125238 This version seemed to have a better cooler than the others

PSU- Antec EA650 650W- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371015 This seems to have plenty juice on it's 3 rails

Ram- OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) kit- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227124 I'm not sure about this Ram being compatible with my Mobo...

Hard Drive- Western Digital Caviar- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136073

Optical Drive- Asus- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135156

Operating System- Vista Home Premium 32 bit OEM- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116485

Is there anything that you can see would cause compatibility problems? I am really worried about that Ram and the Motherboard not being compatible... Everyone says in the reviews that you have to set the Ram to 2.1V in the Bios so that it will run.. But that Mobo says it supports 1.8V ddr2 modules.

I am missing anything else?

Thanks!

The hard drive you have is a slow piece of crap. 52MB/s transfers. I ditched mine for 2 WD 640s in raid 0, now I got 181MB/s transfers, and the difference is night and day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The rm may or may not cause you some issues. If you want to play it safe buy ran that is on the QVL. "Qualified Vendors List"

I've built many e7200 rigs, and 3.4 is a gaurantee, and 3.6 is average, and a few will do 3.8.

3.4 will be doable on the stock cooler.

All the charts and stuff I have looked at so far have the WD still running faster than the Seagate.

Prices will always come down if you are willing to wait long enough. But if you need a system now (like I did) then buy it. When I was building my system last month I was contemplating waiting also but since I needed a new system I ended up just buying. No regrets.

Me and my Dad are going to mod an old computer case to fit and then paint it up... I'll post some pics of it when it's finished...
