Memtest86 does nothing beyond first menu

Hi all,

I download version 3.5 of MemTest86 and burned a Linux boot CD. I get to the first menu (which asks whether I want to run the single processor, multiple processor, or legacy version), but when I make a choice, I get "Loading MemTest86.... ready" and then nothing. No CD activity, no further output.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
