Hi I was just wondering what processor would the nVidia 9600 GT 512m work better on; Intel Q6600 2.4GHZ or AMD64 9550 4x 2.2GHZ. Both systems are the same price and have a Asus P5K SE motherboard.

This computer is going to be used for gaming.

Thanks

The question should be "what processor is going to run my system faster" ? Answer......... I'd get the Q6600.

Hello and welcome to the fourms mate :)
Before telling u too choose between Q6600 and AMD 9550,i must tell u that your motherboard only supports Intel CPUs :)

If u wanted to build a new rig and wanted a recommendation i would stll have told u Q6600.

Thanks for the information man thats weird since they are selling packages with that AMD processor with that motherboard...maybe they're overclocking it or something.. I dont know

Anyways I wanted to ask another question....which monitor would you recommend for gaming a Acer LCD or Samsung... keep in mind this will be used for gaming.

P.S. Will my system be able to run the new games without laginess?

Thanks

if u want a 22" monitor and want to play @ 1680x1050 with max detail then a 9600GT may not handle some games,u will need a better card.
But if u want a 19" monitor then u will be fine :)
