im running far cry2 all maxed ultra high at 1024x768 no aa no af and getting below 15 fps at firefights is it because my settings are too high???or my cpu is too low for it ?? btw my cpu is athlon x2 5200 and 2 gig ram :o

whats your entire specs?
that cpu is a mid range one.

my guess is cpu bottlenecking the card. but you should give your entire specs, board too

Make sure you have the latest drivers as well.

Download the latest drivers and close all your background programs when you are playing. If that doesn't help turn down the settings a tiny bit.

you should be getting more fps. my other pc with a amd x2 3800+ oc @ 2.9ghz 2gig of ram and a 9600gso oc @ 715/1040 gets around 30-40fps with all settings on high 2aa and at 1280x768.
i think you should oc your cpu my amd x2 3800, i drove from stock 2.0ghz to 2.9ghz which gave my fps a huge boost.
