WD640 Black vs Samsung F3 500gb for OS Win7

I've been trying to research and decide which is the better HDD to use for my fresh install of Windows 7 OS. I will use a single drive to store the OS and another drive to store applications and other storage items. My goal is to speed up my disk performance without actually creating a RAID.

So far I've been looking at either the Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB or the Samsung F3 500GB as my OS drive.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I read that many people believe access time the most important aspect of a dedicated OS drive? The WD Black definitely has a faster access speed, but I know that alone isn't always the holy grail for OS drives.
