Does anyone have any experience with mixing two cards and getting them to run together. I'm talking about using a 5xxx series ATI card for games and an older Nvidia card 8xxx or 9xxx for dedicated physx.

So what would happen if someone were to physically plug in a 5850 and a 260 into the same motherboard? No post? BSOD? One card ignored?

No, it does not require that mobo. Any mobo with the proper pcie slots will work. You just need to use the hacked nvidia drivers that enable physics while using an ati card as the primary viedo. I think you have to use windows 7 as it allows multiple drivers to be installed, not sure if vista will work.

There have been many posts on the subjects. Search the forums.

Yes, very well put. For those too lazy to check the forums, or google, this thread has it all:

Should have no problems, other than a computer with a personality disorder.

u can run both cards together as long as ur mobo has two pcie slots...
but like chedderslam1976 told u, u need a hacked/modded driver... most people do this cause they want the power of new 5k series ati card and the physx and cuda from series9 and better nvidia card... :D
