I changed motherboards and when windows XP booted up on my 300 gig drive, it said NTLDR missing; I checked and it already been updated to SP3; but after using the boot drive as a slave, I did see that i386 directory was missing. Any ideas? the 300 gig won't boot but a fresh install i did on an unused drive does work

Can't I try to repair the XP install on the 300 gig? When I try to boot frm the Win XP (SP2) CD, it does give me a repair option.

Help!!

Yes, I saw that -thanks very much.

The problem is I don't get the repair option (R) when the XP CD starts - just partition deltion or make new partition.

There are two versions of XP runnjng on this drive now - the first version is a good , new install but the second version is the one that is giving me issues - if I try to delete the partition, i will lose all the installed programs...I know there should only be one ver of XP installed

There is only 8 gig available for another partition

Any more ideas?
