the reviews on this monitor are amazing but..

every single monitor i watched had at least one review about ghosting effect.
now, if this monitor was 2 ms, and not 5 like it is i wouldnt think about it.

can anyone tell me from experience or hearing from others, does this monitor ghost,smear?

can you offer my something good for gaming insted?

I just bought a w2207h a few weeks ago. I love it. I only play MMOs and RPGs, so I don't know how it would perform with a really fast paced FPS, but I've see zero ghosting so far. Love the color too, great right out of the box. I calibrated using a hardware calibrator and it barely changed - so good to begin with.

I've had a HP w2207h since April. It's been great :D I've watch 720hd on it and play all sorts of stuff like Bioshock, the Witcher, Supreme Commander, Sins of a Solar Empire, Mass Effect, and Crysis. They all worked totally fine on this monitor ;)
