I am looking at the option of getting an SSD for a new PC I am building. The two in particular that I am considering are the OCZ Vertex Limited Edition 100GB and the Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB. They are both available at about the same price (the Crucial is £10 more) and I don't have 6Gb/s SATA on my motherboard (nor an available PCIe slot for a controller) so I must ignore that advantage. I have read an article about the Crucial drive dying and its performance not recovering properly after being trimmed, but the SandForce controller in the OCZ is a also new and unproven technology. Does anyone here have experience with these drives and can make a recommendation?
