First here are my system specifications:

CPU:Intel Core 2 Duo E6600@2.4Ghz
Motherboard:Asus P5N32-E Sli Plus
Memory:Super Talent 2GB(2X1GB) DDR2 800 @5-5-5-15
Power Supply: OCZ Gamestream 750W
Graphics Card:BFG Geforce 8800GTS 320MB

My current setup ran really good when I had a 17" LCD monitor at 1280x1024. A few months ago I received a new monitor as a gift. A 22" LCD with a native resolution at 1680x1050. So my dilemma is that my graphics card is too "weak" to run games at those resolutions. So I would like some suggestions on what card I should upgrade to, if any to run games at native resolution. I was thinking about going with either a 9800GTX+ or a GTX 260. I would like some input if these are good choices or if there are any other options. Thanks!

My Persian friend is so intolerant about AMD/ATI.But he is right.I test these cards in our company and had the great benchmark about them.(280GTX ,260GTX ,HD4870X2 ,HD4870 and 9800GTX+)if the money is not so important for you choose 260GTX but if it is important as always, buy HD4870.

I have pretty much exactly the same system as you. I had to get another GPU after my 7950GX2 finally cooked itself. I wanted nVidia, and got a 9800GTX+. A nice card in it's own right, but if I were have it to do all over again, I think I might've gone with ATI this time around. They seem to have an edge right now in price / performance. Sucks being a fanboy sometimes.

I am not intolerant about AMD/ATI i always talk without any defending, for now ATI HD 4870 would be a wiser choice than GTX 260
