I have just installed a Phenom II CPU. I noticed my PC being slower than expected and when I tried srtest I got these results

Any one know the problem?

That says very little.

How about some benchmarks? 3dmark06 CPU test? Cinebench?

Did you update your bios? Change any voltages to anything other then atuo?

Dont know how to use cinebench but thats all I got. It took 5 minutes to show the first picture of the bike.

Here is my 3dmark score. On the CPU test I was only getting 4fps. That cant be right. There must be something wrong with my CPU.

Reply to bigbadsad

uh no?

It is impossible to get high fps on the cpu score, actually 4 frames per second is not bad at all. Im sitting pretty with a solid 1~2 FPS on my cpu.

Run prime95 small ffts and see if you get any errors

What did you install the cpu into a toaster? No for real. You need to give your system specs. Mobo/BIOS ram, gpu/psu/temps,OS. Otherwise nobody can narrow the problem down

You need to update your bios, thats why cinebench and the system requirements test is not recognizing your cpu. When I ran cinebench it recognized the phenom 2 940 and gave me similar results to yours (although I ran it with the 790gx integrated graphics as I wanted to make sure the cpu worked before i reinstalled my 2 radeon 4850's).

Rendering 1 cpu: 2733
Rendering multiple cpus: 9705
Speedup: 3.55

Also I'm pretty sure the system requirements checker is not a benchmark and just compares your hardware to a list of compatible hardware, therefore it has no bearing on your cpu's speed.

Oh also make sure to check your voltages in the bios. When I installed my phenom and new ram I had to manually set the cpu vcore and ram voltages to get the damn thing to boot windows.

4FPS for the CPU sounds right. Look at this. http://service.futuremark.com/resu [...] ultType=14 That is my benchmark for my 9850 at 3GHz.
