Hello, I recently reinstalled XP on a Sony Vaio PCV-RS712. It being my first time I did not think of backing up any drivers, however I have found all of them... Except for an onboard Sound driver, which has brought me to my knees. I have searched on Sony's support website for a driver - http://esupport.sony.com/CA/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=PCV-RS712&region_id=3

However, it is missing from the list completely.
I have done google searches and have tried to download some drivers, but a quick scan finds trojans on the files.

- Windows does not detect any sound playback or audio device. The current sound scheme is Windows Default

- Manufacture: Realtek
- The device status: The drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28)
- Driver version 5.10.0.6300

Please help me.

They do generic drivers on the Realtek website

"Audio drivers available for download from the Realtek website are general drivers for our audio ICs, and may not offer the customizations made by your system/motherboard manufacturer. To be sure you obtain the full features/customizations provided in your original audio product, please download the latest drivers from your system/motherboard manufacturer's website."
