Ok, I've finally decided to spend a little more money and go Intel. I went from the AMD Athlon 64 6000+ 3.0 89W ($92) to Intel E7200 ($119). I realize there are better processors out there, but for my budget (450-total), I feel this is a good choice. Plus, after reading about OCing, I might like to try it out!

Moving on to my question: I'm really excited to get this thing ordered and I just can't seem to settle on a motherboard! I would like to go with Gigabyte, however I can't find onboard vid in my price range. I could probably be convinced of another well used brand, though.

I'd like to keep my motherboard price under $100.

I do have an older graphics card (VisionTek 9250 128MB PCI) that I could use if the mobo doesn't have it onboard. However, I don't know if that graphics card is even worth it!

My purchase so far:
-Antec NSK4480B Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 380W Power Supply
-mushkin 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
-Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500AAKS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

I have XP/Ubuntu (will upgrade to Vista very soon), DVD drive, monitor, keyboard and mouse.

I primarily surf the web, listen to music, and do some photoshop/graphic design.

Thanks everyone for your help. I've searched the forums and the web, but everything seems outdated.

Also, have a looks at his thread we just wrapped up... it's a very nice build for the cost, about in your range:

You will need to do something about your power supply soon, as it's a bit low and will end up not living long in your rig.

Is this worth looking at? The rebate would make it be within my budget.

Yes that's probably your best option.

If it were me, I would likely go with AMD on this build. A 790GX motherboard would cost a bit more, but it's the king of integrated graphics. Then, given your usage, I would look at a triple-core Toliman.

That option would come to a bit more cash though.... maybe $30 more.
