Hey there,
Drive: Samsung Super Writemaster
DVD: Microsoft Windows 7 Profession FULL
PC: Desktop
My DVD drive seems to be unable to read my windows 7 install disc. I've tried the disc on my laptop and it reads it just fine. I tried my old Windows Vista install DVD disc in my desktop and it reads that just fine, so it seems only to be the windows 7 install disc it has a problem reading.
Is there a specific type of DVD drive required for using the windows 7 disc? I've googled my problem and there seems to be a few other DVD drives which have the same issue of not being able to read the windows 7 disc.
If needs be, can someone recommend an alternative DVD drive I could buy which they know for a fact will read the windows 7 disc? It would have to be a SATA DVD drive, and preferably one that could be bought at a local chain store such as pc world/comet/currys.
Thanks in advance.
Klipp.
