I'm having trouble accessing the raid bios and I'm starting to think it may not even exist. I've tried all the function keys and delete. When I try ctrl+i, the computer freezes at the vaio screen. Any ideas?

If you have the controller configured as RAID in the BIOS, then you will get a message on screen during POST that will tell you how to enter the RAID BIOS.
If you don't have the RAID controller properly configured for RAID, you will not get the message.

Is there any way to take off RAID without getting into the bios? I'm pretty sure mine's not properly configured, but it's still RAID.

You have to go into the BIOS and change it.

the sony bios is extremely limited. there are no hdd options in it.
