Hello all. I think this is on the right category but I am not sure.

My brother got a gateway select 1200cs free from someone that forgot the password
and did not want to bother with it. Can somebody please tell me how to get to the bios?
I have tried all the f keys and esc during boot up. I am a novice at repairing computers but normally I can at least get to the bios. please help. I know I am a noob but I am trying to learn. And if it wasn't free I wouldn't be bothering. and yes I will never BUY a gateway.
